Final Project Research 3: The fourth wall and how different writers approach it.

The script I am working on is a story is multiverse story but another major element that is present within this is concept of 'Breaking the Fourth Wall' which firstly needs to be explained.

The Fourth Wall refers to an invisible barrier that is in front of the audience that indicates that it is impossible for communication between the two sides. Imagine a one-way mirror in an interrogation room if you will. Referring to breaking this barrier would indicate that there is a level of communication happening between the audience and the elements of the story and most likely the cases being the interacting with the audience and not the other way around.

A popular example of how I plan to implement this concept in my script is the show 'Dispatches from Elsewhere' which shows the actor 'Jason Segal" breaking the fourth wall and addressing the audience directly.

I plan to do the same but in a more restricted form as the narrator will question the audience and let the story play out normally, acting as a moral guide if you will.
