Welcome to the new term 2023

Hi and welcome back to the new term in year 2023. I am so excited to get back in and work on newer and exciting projects and learn new things, I hope you join me on this journey.

To get us started today I'm going to talking about my one my favorite writer who actually inspired me to start writing myself and create amazing and wondrous realities of fiction.

(A portrait of Mitch Albom, 2002)

'Born on May 23, 1958 in Passaic, New Jersey, MITCH ALBOM is an internationally renowned and best-selling author, journalist, screenwriter, playwright, radio and television broadcaster and musician. His books have collectively sold more than 40 million copies worldwide; have been published in 49 territories and in 47 languages around the world; and have been made into Emmy Award-winning and critically-acclaimed television movies.' (Mitchalbom.com,2022)

Albom is not an eccentric or an nonconformist, he is in terms of being the writer is on the straight and narrow. Is a Christian, a community man, someone who has a family and runs multiple charities. So for him to write writings like 'The Time Keeper' or 'The first phone call from Heaven'  makes me fascinated as often more than not, I hear of ecentricism and creative going hand in hand with stories about writer's like Hemmingway or Shakespeare but I suppose in the modern day of age, it's often in the modern age that creativity is contained by the reality of mundanity.

The first time I read one of Mitch Albom's works was when I was 12 or 13 ( I do not exactly remember) and I read one of his works, it was a book called the 'The Time Keeper'. Time keeper is tells a tale of three different set of people, in three different times, prehistoric,  the past and the present and how at the end all of the are connected by a set of circumstances which ultimately let's them at the precipice of time and fate itself.

I find this inspiring myself as a fiction writer, I too am interested in concepts that challenge the reality itself and the lesson that 'The Time Keeper' teaches us that you should always cherish the time you have and not waste it on trivialities of the future as no amount will make you immortal or keep your precious trinkets forever. I have come to agree with this in recent times.

Here's to the next term.
