For my website I decided to go with a simplistic colour tone (Black) and used multiple non copyrighted images to give the imagery of the aesthetic of a writer. Majority of my font is Serif but for personal details and particular information I used a serif font example like in my email. The header contain's my name on the left and the different pages on the right. This is both simplistic and allows easier use of access. This by design to allow a better accessibility to the viewer.
Though you could have written more, this post was very well written for how little text it provides. It tells me the aesthetic and theme you wanted for the home page and accomplishes and satisfies any enigmas about your home page. Great Post!
