Podcast (Cultural translation): Editing and Post Production (uploading to website)
This post will catalogue the editing and post production elements of my podcast:
Editing: First, I went through all of my recorded audio in Audacity and edited out any unwanted background and other distracting sounds. This is an important step to make sure that the final product is polished and professional.
Next, I used Premiere Pro to add some transition effects to the podcast. This was a great way to create a sense of lingering between segments and keep the listener engaged.
Exporting: After editing and adding effects, I exported the files into mp3 format
Creating multiple versions: I decided to release two versions of the podcast, a cut 5-minute version and an uncut 20-minute version. This allowed me to cater to different types of listeners and give them the option to choose how much they wanted to listen to.
Publishing and Embedding: Finally, I uploaded the podcast onto SoundCloud and used an embed to add it to my gallery page on my website. This made it easy for listeners to access the podcast and gave me a platform to showcase my work.
Overall, I am really happy with how my first podcast turned out and in the next post I am going to share my thoughts and reflections with you all
