Initial Ideas and SMART objectives for the new 'Free' Project

So we have been assigned a new project. This one has a lot more freedom of choice with the ability to chose what type of of project you want to make, from options such as :

An Audio Project;
-You can create a Podcast of no more than 5 minutes long
-A piece of music/experimental sound piece of no more than 5 minutes long
This should be uploaded onto your website via SoundCloud or other suitable format

A Written Project;
-A short story of no more than 1500 words
-A magazine article of no more than 1500 words
These should be presented in Flipbooks on your website and may use online templates such as Lucidpress

A Visual Project;
-A photography project using mobile phone photography with 10 final images.
-A digital drawing project, creating digital artwork for online exhibition with 5 final images
These should be presented in a gallery on your website

I have decided to do a Podcast because 1, I can't make music or sound piece since I am tone deaf, I have already done written projects before, I have done a photography project before and I can not draw even a stickman to save my life so art is out of the question and so by the process of elimination and my interest I decided to do podcasts, but now I will run some ideas for what I can do for said podcast.

Idea 1
Idea: I could make a podcast about my experiences as an international student.
Pro: I could have a lot to say.
Con: Overdone and cliché at this point.

Idea 2
Idea: I could make a podcasts about a review, or an article or any piece of information.
Pro: Would be an interesting to research to the topic
Con: Overdone and I would have to write something first originally to make a podcast out of it making it a double project.

Idea 3
Idea: Talk to International students about their hobbies and interests they are really passionate about.
Pro: Seems fresh and new, and could be interesting to explore as how hobbies translate among different cultures and regions.
Con: Might be Cliché, cannot confirm. Might be a bit harder to execute.

After some deliberation and thinking I have decided to go with Idea 3 and make podcasts discussing the interests of people and how they translate well over culture.

So with that out of the way let's do some SMART objectives.

(Villacorta, 2019)

Specific: I want to make a podcast talking to International students about their hobbies and interests they are really passionate about and how it translates over different cultures.

Measurable: I would consider a succesful project when the discussion of the podcast has to meaningful discourse state and at least a majority of questions I pose have been answered to the best of the ability of the other speaker.

Achievable:  I can easily do this in the span of 2 weeks, I have to get the equipment, do my research on how to conduct myself and invite a guest for that podcast,  edit the podcast together (audio and video) and put on the website using 3rd party tools.

Relevant: I am a media Production student, Audio, Visual work is part of my repertoire and I making a podcast is going to help me get better and advance my skill.

Time-Bound: This project will take at least a week to prepare and another to compile and post. I am going to put more effort into doing it more quicker than this.

I hope you look forward to my project.
